I updated from 2.1, but I believe each firmware can upgrade any revision.

I burned the ISO to a CD.

Turn the player on and pop the disc in - you will see a message VER UP or something like that - you need to have your display active and you will seen an on-screen message asking whether you want to update - select YES. Then go off for 20 minutes or so. Once complete you'll see a message on the front panel or perhaps the machine may have turned itself off if. Either way, remove the disc from the tray and restart the player - that's it!
