Mark,
Glad youre using them as intended! wink Wait until the Meridian Milky Bar Kid set comes out- special double rocking capability... laugh

In my case I am using a HDMI on one end and DVI on the other end cable. The 5000's DVI input is configured for PC specs so I have told the crystalio this- the resulting image is much punchier- where as before it was a little hazy. I tried 720P/48 (actually the number was something like 47.95hz) and the projector locked on to it, but from the increased judder, I think it was reassembling everything to the 60hz rate. But this projector is on its last legs with me. I know what you mean about the grey scale- I will have the new one ISF'ed - Yet I have seen the same thing on the plasma and on this projector so I think its the component video outputs of the toshiba and I just plugged in the panny Bluray player and I see a similar thing there too. More on that later, its too soon to give my thoughts on this. I will say that the resulting sound from the HD DVD converted to DTS @ 1.5mb/s is very very strong- it seems more lively than the same DVD soundtracks- but this is not a real a-b comparison and just my first impression. Time is at a premium for me this past week. That crystalio is a great processor, but its taking me a while to get into how it works- its a tweakers delight- no doubts.

Finally, I declare HD DVD to be the winner in the format war because it has porn! eek And we all know that wherever porn goes, the formats go...
