I don't know of many receivers that have digital outputs. So you need to run through an Analog to Digital converter. Thinking about this further any ADC would probably do. The higher the sampling frequency the better. If your receiver did have digital outputs ypu'd still have the volume control issues below because the outputs are fixed.

The 562 is an ADC. The higher version ones have higher sampling rate I believe. But you can pick 562's cheap these days.

The pre-outs would go to the ADC.

And the digital out would go to D1 of the Left DSP6000. And The Digital out of Left speaker would go to D1 of the right speaker as normal.

You need to hook Comms between them and set the left speaker as a controller.

The problem with these sort of setups is calibration. And volume control in general use.

Since you'll have to use two controls to control volume Denon for Center, Rears. And Meridian to control fronts and you need to keep them in sync (balanced as you ajdust up and down).

If this was a 2 channel setup then it would not be so bad. But if it was 2 channel you might as well connect your CD player direct to the speaker and avoid the DAC/ADC concversion.
