Seriously. PS3 is hurting right now, because individual decisions have rolled into mass rejection. When the NYT and Time Warner write articles about how much of a let down a product is, then you know that each 'no' actually does count. So 'no', this is not acceptable.
I'm not going to buy PS3 on its launch in the UK (March) either. I'm a prime candidate for their core market - I've got a PS1, PS2 and PSP. I bought PS2 when it came out and got an expensive noisy box with no decent games at the time. And Sony have just let all of us Europeans know how much it loves us by not releasing it here for another quarter.

Unless we get something to compensate, then I've had enough. I'll reconsider in about a year when Gran Turismo 5 comes out, but till then I'm not going to contribute to Sony's arrogance by boosting their release sales figures.

BTW - Sony's marketing guys have come up with an 'Can PS3' automated answer web site over here as a teaser for the not-so-state-of-the-art-anymore technology.

I asked it 'Can PS3... compensate for the late release in Europe'. The answer?

'PS3 doesn't need to compensate for anything.'

And to think I accused Sony of arrogance!
