Thanks guys- I found a good deal on the ECM8000 and the MIC100 preamp so I went with that pair, but I was really impressed with both. It will be interesting to see what changing the mic will do. Maybe I'll do a test with the Radio Shack SPL and then the better mic- if I can figure out how to capture the screens I will post them.
