I only hope it is at least a 0-600 Hz bandwidth track

Here we go again! I have three clarks and I can't stand them at 600 Hz. You actually get voices coming from behind. I prefer the 200 Hz cutoff, but that is just me. clark really pushes for the 600Hz.

Stacey, I am very disappointed that you did not read my thread about wanting a discrete tactile channel with a 0-600 Hz bandwidth. A discrete tactile channel would not contain vocals. If you think I implied using tactile tranducers up to the 600 Hz range, using the standard sountrack without a discrete tactile tranducer channel, you were incorrect in your assumption [Linked Image from softronix.com] I agree with you that is impossible to use tactile trandsducers for anything other than 0-100 Hz, perhaps 200 Hz. Using the soundtrack for tactile information is fairly crude. A discrete tactile channel is something that makes anything possible, as well as necessary abilities: such as the ability to have full tactile sensation (0-600 Hz), proportionally correct tactile sensation (increasing subtleties and decreasing exaggeration), and exclusion of improper information (vocals, etc..). Soundtracks do not convey tactile information properly at all. Please see my thread and feel free to expand or ad comments.

For those criticizing tactile transducers, please do not criticize them unless you have indeed seen a proper install. Remeber, the big problem facing tactile transduction is the lack of a discrete channel for tactile transduction. I urge those to read my thread on tactile tranducers, and realize that a discrete tactile transduction channel is something that would be simply amazing. Please see that thread and place your comments here or there.

The Buttkicker people unfortunately, as was told to me by them, feel the need to exagerate the tactile response at CEDIA and CES and turn the levels up way too much. Again, I ask people to realize that a discrete tactile channel would make all the difference in the world. Cannot people see the capabilities a discrete tactile channel would provide?

Thank-you,

Chris
