Thanks for the clarification on the name of the piece and the artists - and it was the vibes and not the xylophone (duh!).

Although I thought it was a DVD-A, it well may have been an SACD. Meridian did make the point that the 861.3 with its multi-channel inputs, was compatible with multi-channel SACD. On the other hand, it may have been a special DVD-A recording. I don't know if it was recorded in PCM and converted to DSD for the SACD or whether it was recorded in DSD specifically for the SACD.
