I have seen the responses of Meridian on HH CEDIA 2006 on this thread. I am quite suprised and dissapointed with the the response and reasoning to the question on the "stereo product with MRC for stereo systems".

My concern is that if we all know that the room (shape, contents, etc.) affects the accoustic of the system and therefore it was the reason to include the MRC on some processors (mainly dedicated to sorround processing -SSP) why Bob Stuart and team are "surprised at the reuqest to have MRC on a stereo system"?

To be honest, sometime is not if we customers are asking something, but if we know that a certain functionality is good for a better sound and then we should have such functionality?. At the end of the day there is not doubt that MRC is really, really good and stunnig on the improving of the experience of sound/livenesss on our homes.

It is not strange that if you pay 4.5K for a single unit of SSP you get MRC but if you pay 4.2K for a separate system of G02 controller /G08 player you do not have it, is it?!.

Sometimes you must pull the demand for you products (rather wait the customers asks for your product) just to make sure your brand is on the market as a "higly innovative and technologically advanced"

By the way, I wrote and asked 6 months ago to Meridian Technical support to get MRC on my G02 for a still better high quality stereo sound experience. They answer me "you have to get G68/861v4". Unfortunately I have invested in another products in the same brand and I will not be able or willing (more correctly) to get all the functionalities of those devices for a stereo system!!.

Jose
