Hello. What a great forum !
Can anyone give a Meridian newbie some feedback on either getting a G91A or a used G98/68 combo ?
My first components were a pair of dsp5200s and slowly building up to a complete Meridan HT/Music system. I am looking for advice in terms of flexibility and being able to upgrade in the future since I plan on long term use. 1080P is not a priority since I dont plan on neither replacing my DVD collection nor do I feel there are adequate 1080P media sources to satisfy my needs.
Thanks.

my opinion (worth every penny you've paid for it) is to invest your money in the speakers and an audio processor (G68 or whatnot) but skip the M players. unless and until you've gone hog-wild with 5.1 or 7.1, there's better stuff out there for a ton less money. you'll get a lot more bang for the buck out of the speakers.

doody.

Same here, buy a used/new 861 V4 or G68 and skip the M player for now . Buy the Tosh HD DVD player both audio and video on this machine are a lot better then most M players unless you want the 808.
