I've seen similar effects from a good shower: gets rid of that annoying background hum.

A great option for the shower (though in my case, as a married man, this option is very expensive):

A good partner makes the shower and the subsequent music listening that much more enjoyable laugh

Funny the other day I ran a harmonic current test on a cheap PC with a 400 watt PC power supply in it. We had it loaded down pretty good too. All the drives, fully loaded chassis, were exercised and the video as well was pushed hard. The Harmonic current was in the mud where the power supply in my 598 was mid way to the limits for CE marking. Where the 598 had .25 amps at some individual frequencies the PC supply was less than .009 amps for all 40 harmonics. So much for the 598 power supply!

So!

Did anyone try the new upgraded power supply on the G68 and what was the verdict?

Ron

I've followed this link with great interest but live in Denmark where we use 220V and not 110V as in the US. Any one that know if Anthony's powersupply can handle 220V ? ? ?

Yes it can - it's not like a conventional transformer where you have taps for specific voltages - in effect it works exactly the same way as the original Meridian supply, it's just got a GTI badge...

Hi Guys

Got my Aberdeens Drop-In power supply friday - that was fast ! ! ! Changed it saturday - and WHAT A DIFFERENCE - it's a whole new pre/pro, a totally new and much much better sound. I can only agree with Steven - first thing I noticed was a much improved bass, after that much better dynamics, greater details over all much more refined sound. Thank you Anthony for this fantastic improment. This is how the Meridian G68 should sound.
