Overview

The update provides enhancements to memory handling within the operating systems of the products, which improves efficiency and reliability.

For 271, the update is categorised as ESSENTIAL. Failure to update any 271 may result in the unit becoming unusable, requiring a hardware repair. As such, this update must be applied in order to preserve the warranty status of the product.

For the streaming products (218, 251 and ID41), the update is categorised as ADVISABLE, BUT NON ESSENTIAL, and can be applied as and when convenient.
