Hi - I have decided to upgrade my pre-pro. I currently have a Bel Canto Evo II for power, a Denon DVD-5910 for DVD/SACD, and Merlins for speakers. I have a pretty nice Joule-Electra as a dedicated 2 channel pre-amp for my CDs (Audio Aero), so will just use the G68D for HT and DVD-A/SACD. Three questions for the Meridian experts out there: 1. As I have a have a 2 channel pre amp already, I will use it's HT bypass and insert the Meridian 'behind' it (ie. G68J (LR channels) -> Preamp -> Power Amp. Does anyone see a problme doing that with the Meridian? 2. I keep hearing that the G68 can only do DVD-A (and not SACD). Is this trie? I see analog multichannel inputs on the back. Are they only talking about digital multichannel in? 3. Anyone know where I can find a G68J for a great price? Thanks in advance, Paul

1) Should be no problem.
2) Yes and No. SACD will go through a A/D and D/A but a high quality A/D D/A. DVD-A from a Meridian play is pure digital.
3) Nope. Try AudioGon

3) I just bought the one on Audiogon for $4450 brand new. The guy hadn't even had it delivered to him from his dealer before deciding to move up to an 861 instead. It arrived Thursday and I'm thrilled with my purchase - it sounds wonderful.
Keep looking, bargains come up on Audiogon from time to time.

Yeah, Eric is building a new house in Malibu and seems to be building a few systems throughout. I was offered a silver or black G68J and chose the silver - it arrived last Thursday, and I've been elated with the sound quality. Especially the bass improvements with MRC engaged.
I'm now semi-looking for some DSP5000s...

506, This place has a 24/96 rose pair of DSP5000s with boxes. I was all set to get them but decided to go with DSP33's first for rears. http://www.stereodesign.com/used/
