Greetings,
I am really loking for a 808v6, but they are rare.
There are several 808.3 out there, for a reasonable price. Can this player upgraded to a v6? What would be the cost if at all possible?

Hi Christian,
Meridian stopped supplying upgrade kits some time ago, and any spares have been used up. There are certainly no more ID41 cards available.
If you wanted an 808v6, the closest you could get would be to combine an 818v3 and 808.3.
808v6's do come up from time to time, you'll need to keep your eyes peeled!

In the recent looking, have not found any 808v5/6 Teac drives, my guess is they have been unavailable for a long time.
808v6, 818.3, G65, G61RSL, G91DH, G08, G98DH, 500v3, 504, 218-LPS, 218, 210, MS200
5200SE, 5200HSE, DSP5200 (nonSL~fully rebuilt), DSP3300x2, DSW.2

There are options to replace the Teac drives.
I've tested possible replacements and have a list of compatible drives.
Drop me a PM if you need to source a replacement drive for an 808.3 (or later)
