I am new here I have friend who has DSP5000 which showed test mode. I have managed to remove the IL65 message but now only have small green dot showing on both speakers.
Please can someone help me

We'll need some more details: Do you have the remote control? Which cables do you have? (The speakers need Comms cables to talk to each other). A complete list of everything you have with/for the speakers will help. Also I recommend reading the manual 3 times. It is available on this site (Duncan's Meridian Info at top of page)

hi thanks for your reply, yes i do have the remote control i tried press and holding the various buttons in the manual. All the cables are connected correctly it is just since the IL65 was removed this has occured

To clear the IL65 state you need to type the speaker, the default is Left and Master IIRC, try typing both again and configure right/left and the one with the digital input (and output to the other speaker) as master, the other as slave. The manuals for DSPs are on Duncan’s webpages (see above) and if you managed to clear IL65 you have a good idea how to do the rest I think?

Thanks not sure where to go next i have the green dot on both speakers now cant shift that

Before you try to type the speaker point the remote away from the speakers and equipment and press the CD button. Then follow the typing process.

refer to the manual page 32, assuming you have the original 18 bit versions

as you have green dots on both speakers they are both set to slave, you need to resolve this.

swith off both speakers at the switch at the back and follow the process for typing on page 32 starting with switching on only the left speaker set that to left and master then switch off. when you switch it back on it should also display a red led.

switch them both off again and repeat on the right speaker only this time set it as a Right slave.

Also check the remote is in '500 series' mode, it's not clear which remote you are using.

The '1L65' display is also shown in 'calibrate' mode (along with other functions) but the remote has to be differently configured to get there.

The typing process explained on page 32 of the manual as mentioned by others.

Doesn’t a green dot suggest that the speakers are in standby? My 8K's and the rest of the kit are all just displaying a single green dot. Once I select a source then shown is either a red or orange rectangle or both for the master.
