Sky Stream is (IMHO) a very good system but it is constrained for connectivity having only one HDMI connector and no SPDIF (electrical or optical) connector.

And how to connect it for convenience vs. optimum sound quality is a connundrum.

For multi-channel sound I connect the Sky Stream to an HD621 and thence to the display and SSP. This offers the best sound option but means the whole system must be on to view. The guilt of watching "This Old House" via a Meridian Home Theatre is palpable laugh

For two-channel sound I connect direct the Sky Stream to the TV and use the optical out via a Bluesound Node into my DSPs. This allows general usage without the whole system being fired up. Stereo sound quality is perfectly good either way.

Neither of the TVs in the above scenarios are capable of DD passthrough, nor do they have ARC/e-ARC. If they had either it would allow different connectivity but I am not in a position to experiment of comment.

Any of the above may require some set-up in the Sky Stream and/or TV sound and/or connection menus, depending on how good the TV HDMI hand-shaking is.

Alternatively a simple HDMI splitter might do the job but, again, no experience here.

The UDH121 looks like it might be the solution for TVs with e-ARC, if and when it appears.

Enjoy.
