Making its appearance at the Cedia Expo in Denver Colorado the first week of September.
The UHD121 is designed to allow the use of SpeakerLink DSP speakers with a TV. Using the HDMI EARC from the TV to get the audio to the speakers and CEC to control the speakers.
Think of it this way, you would be able to use your Apple TV remote to control everything so the whole family can enjoy your system.
Also to be shown are updated versions of the DSP730 and DSP750 in wall loudspeakers which include some of the technologies developed in the Extreme Engineering Program (DSP9 AND DSP8000XE).

UHD121 sounds great.
Now, integrate the functionality with 218 and 210. Give it an external wall wart PSU with the option for an improved linear PSU. Bonus points for a lifestyle quality cabinet with fancy volume/mute/selector dial, but not strictly required.

Do you have some more information on UHD121? How many ports and types?
Can it be used as a HDMI switch?

That picture is very helpful, thanks. Looks very installation oriented, as might be expected. Obvious questions are: Does it do multichannel pass-through, i.e. UHD121 Master out connecting to the 861 input port usually used by a UHD722, thus allowing the TV to do the source switching and allowing DD, etc. out via HDMI instead of optical? Can it be daisy-chained via a 218? What is the purpose of that spare HDMI input? Not expecting answers yet

It's too dark to see properly, but given it's supposed to be directly connected to a TV, that USB power from the TV would have bettered the mains power input it appears to have.
I suspect that it will cost at least £/$/€500.

I would suspect that relying on other devices to power your equipment would not be in Meridian's best interest.

Nice! A modern, inclusive product that doesn't demand too much? I hope they sell a lot of them.
