3dit0r How are you proposing to get dd+ into the 861. I’ve never bothered myself about it - DD+ I’ve never come across a disc with this encoding and Netflix 5.1 plays with great quality through my HD621/861v4. When properly setup for use with HD621/UHD722, doesn’t the source/player decode DD+ (just as with Dolby TrueHD, etc.) and pass PCM through to the HD621/UHD722 and on to the 861?

I feed all of my DVD-A to the Trinnov via HDMI. Same with my immersive audio discs. I have not checked the input on the Trinnov however to confirm audio stream.
1: 808.6 Anniversary, 504, Sony ES Bluray player, Apple TV, Trinnov Altitude 32, 7200SEU l/r/c, plus for immersive audio
2: Theta Compli Blu, Apple TV, HD621, G61RSL, B&W Sig 8NT l/r/c, & Runco Plasma
3: 861v8, 504, Apple TV for streaming 3100 l/r/c

I mocked this up with a 596 and my Trinnov Altitude 32 using the SPDIF1 input at factory default settings on the Trinnov input. It shows as receiving 5.1 Dolby Digital bitstream in 48K when playing a Widespread Panic DVD Audio 5.1 disc. The 596 can be set to 2ch PCM or multichannel bitstream.
