Hi Gianni,
If I understand you correctly, settings on the DSPs should be Type 1 (Standard setting for 2-channel system), right?
Thanks for help. No. I believe the setting should be Type 5 or Type 6 because you are using the DSPs with another source controller - the HD621 (IIRC) counts as a Meridian Surround Controller. Update: re-reading the manual suggests that Type 6 is correct as Type 5 (I think) assumes SL comms.

From the HD621 manual:
Meridian Comms BNC and DIN connectors – these enable the processor to be integrated with a Meridian audio/video system and controlled by it, for example, switching the HDMI input when the appropriate selection is made via the system controller.
Connect an HDMI source to each of the inputs you wish to use. You will see that the connectors are named according to the standard convention adopted by Meridian equipment. If you connect your sources as suggested by the labels, you will not need to change them in the Meridian Configuration application.
This all implies to me that the HD621 is not usually used as controller, and also that this should basically just work as long as nothing has been changed from standard, and nothing is broken…
The manual does also state:
Note: the HD621 can act as a Controller. However you will only use it as such in a non- Meridian system. If you select the HD621 as the controller in a Meridian system, the available inputs on a Meridian processor you add subsequently will be limited to those defined for the HD621.
If it were me at this stage I would:
- swap out the BNC cable - reset/retype DSPs and HD621 to standard settings

I am not suggesting making the HD621 the controller, which I interpret is not possible in a DSP/Meridian SSP system.
Merely that the speakers need to know there is an upstream device that switches sources (which I clumsily referred to as a source conroller).
I my recent experiemnts, pressing the source switch on the HD621 did not activate the connected (via BNC comms) DSP speakers.

Type 5 or 6 is only when use a multi channel controller ie G68 / 861 etc. The HD621, whilst supporting multiple channels is not a multi channel controller.
Type 1 is the correct initial configuration for a pair of DSP’s in a 2 channel configuration. Then they should be customised as required.
In the case of using them with a just a HD621 (which is not a controller), they should be set to controller = Automatic or Yes.

Just checking, you have configured the Master speaker as M. Coax, right, and only the Slave speaker as S. RJ45?

Just to check, should HD621 be connected to the master speaker BNC comms input or output?
