From my own experience in the 2ch realm, the dual mono Bricasti units for me are the best converters I've ever heard. Have had the M1 SE in my office for almost 10 years now and lots of DACs around its price range have come and gone but the M1 has stuck around in my rig.
You won't see any major recording studio or post production facility without an M7 reverb on the rack. They sort beat Lexicon at their own game. Real pro audio lineage if you're into that sort of thing and they now have streamers in them.
