I have tried all the tips tricks in the forum. Different settings SPL meter, cables and even several systems (861, 565, G65).

A few years ago it worked, but last 3 years I never have enough dB from SPL meter.
So my last resort before creating an account expensive smashed surround processor (yeah there is a bit of frustration here wink

Where can I buy a good working RadioShack set with cable (maybe defect SPL Meter is problem all the time)

Are there shops selling the RadioShacks or other devices which can be connected to the processor?

Or should I use REW?

RadioShack (Tandy) is long gone in Europe and seems to be regularly revived and then fail in the USA, too.

The UK equivalent is Farnell. If you need a meter, I’d see if they could supply you - https://uk.farnell.com/c/test-measu...ing-measurement?st=sound+pressure+level. I think they supply to the EU but worth checking as they offer location-specific pages. (I’m fairly sure I’ve had stuff delivered to my place in Italy but I can’t remember the precise means by which I ordered it.)

Failing that, AliExpress?

This is what I used last time:

Axis Tools - Sound Level Meter 50 - 126dB

eBay - Silverline Sound Level Meter

The meter was set at 120 dB range and 1.4V sensitivity on software of course this could vary on your distances.

Here's one from a DE Shop:-

Voltcraft Sound Pressure Level Meter with Line Out €29.99

(I have no affiliation to the seller!)

I'm in the same situation - and if the worst comes to the worst - I've just ordered a MiniDSP UMIK-1 - which I could lend to you after I've finished with it!

I have a UMIK-1. How would you use it as an SPL meter for a Meridian MRC setup?

I order the Mic. In Germany and also bought the Umik.
So an idiot guide kind of explanation how to use this with REW and use the output in MRC would be very appreciated wink

So far I've only used my UMIK-1 (it only arrived yesterday!) to measure SPL's - using the well-known REW (freeware) software.
Install REW from here.
Download your MiniDSP UMIK-1 microphone calibration files from this page to use in REW.
Follow the rest of the instructions & set the SPL meter to 'C Weighting' & 'Slow' as usual - then you have a functional SPL meter...

For MRC, I assume (I've not tried it yet) you need a 3.5mm-stereo-out-to-RCA-adapter + a long enough RCA cable, to connect your laptop 'audio out' to the Meridian 'audio in'.
In the past, using a very old Windows laptop, I had to use an external (USB?) soundcard, but I'm hoping that 'modern' in-built soundcards / drivers will be able to provide what the Meridian device is expecting, but as I say, I've not tried it yet!

I Will do the SPL measurement this weekend with umik and REW.

I was wondering how and what results from REW CAN be used as input for the manual MRC profiel building? (Of other settings)
Or am I trying to get the best of all worlds in 1 processor this way? (Too ambitious?)
