Revamped the work office plan having given away the DSP33's. Pretty sure the below will work fine but looking to confirm
New situation:
DSP3200 speakers
Meridian 561, comms only to AC12 to provide volume control
Either iPhone USB-coax converter or the WIIM coax connected directly to AC12
Any holes in this plan ?
Second question, how do I check my speakers have the latest firmware and how do I (or do I even need to) ensure EBA is active ?

Follow up issue - upon looking again at my 561 in Legacy Config - there is no startup volume option as shown in the manual.
Anyone know what would be the issue here?

Yes - that is what is shown in the manual, but not on my legacy setup program.
My Legacy program, which I downloaded using the link from the Korean site, also doesn't have a tree-style layout on the left. Maybe it's out of date ? Not sure where to find the latest
EDIT: Tree layout was just a view option

Under the 'view' pull down, you can select 'tree' rather than 'normal'.
Should make it easier.

Can't work out how to add a picture. Literally on my legacy app there is grey space where yours has a volume parameter.

Are you doing a fetch from the 561, or starting with a new config?
If the former, try the later as the fetch is a bit flaky.
Under the help menu, 'about Meridian' you can tell the version of Mconfig, mine is Version 2.215R

In the case of DSP3200's running 1.20 firmware, EBA can be set by the connected SpeakerLink processor or via RS-232.
You can check the firmware version by connecting from a PC running the flash uploader program and selecting "Identify".

Thanks Bruce. I just found the below old (2014?) comment from Rick that if correct suggests I shouldn’t bother pursuing this for a desktop stereo system.
You'd need a special adaptor which connects 9 pin d type RS232 from your PC, (or associated USB to RS232 driver) to RJ45.
However there would be no point, as EBA in a DSP3200 is purely an EBA-COMPATIBLE delay, to time align them to other speakers running EBA in a multichannel system. There would be no improvement in sound if you're just running a pair from an MC200.
