Hi,
Did you find a solution to this? I have the exact same problem with a unit that haven't been used for a while. I have also gone through all the steps you mentioned.
I am using the newest version of the Meridian Device Manager.

What does it take for the Device Manager to see the devices?
I can't get it to see my 271 or 210.
Main: Marantz Cinema 50, Meridian 271, DSP7200.2, DSP5200HC, DSP5000 rears, Meridian 210.
PC/Headphones: Mytek Liberty II, Sansui CA-F1, Sansui B-2301, Sennheiser HD800, Kef R3

Mine doesn’t always see my 210, but always sees my 218, however my 210 always launches from Spotify.

I connected the PC and 271 to the same unmanaged switch and directly to the router. I disabled the firewall on the PC.
It doesn't even find the device.
I can connect to the 271 via the web interface just fine.
In the end I direct connected the ethernet cable to my PC and it found it immediately and I managed to update it.
Main: Marantz Cinema 50, Meridian 271, DSP7200.2, DSP5200HC, DSP5000 rears, Meridian 210.

Connecting the PC running Device Manager directly to the Meridian device needing to be updated is the most reliable way to do it.
When using this method, it doesn't matter what the IP address of either device is.
