Meridian Device Manager can update devices that have LAN connections such as a 218 or ID41.

I’ve tried to update but no success. I’ve used an König cable 146/2 USB to RS232 with the baby blue Cisco RS232 to RJ45 cable as linked in the first post.
The Kónig worked without the Cisco cable connected but had some trouble with the Cisco connected. Failure 10. Got around that but with the DSP connected same failure, the app tried to update but the DSP wasn't visible. It tried to update but it couldnt reset the DSP. So I had to turn them off and on as told by the updater. The connection became unstable every time.
Perhaps someone knows what went wrong for future reference for other readers.
I have now ordered a RS232 gender changer so I can use an old laptop with a serial port with the Cisco cable. Hope that works.
Some Meridian...

I'm trying to update my DSP7200SE and DSP5200SEHC speakers. I am using the following:
Windows 10 Laptop -> USB cable -> Keyspan USA-19H -> RS232 cable -> Reviver -> RJ45 cable -> SpeakerLink In port
I initially could not see the Kayspan adapter as a COM port, which I resolved by installing the Windows 10 driver. I now see the adapter as COM5, which appears in the Meridian Flash Upload Program.
When I run the MFUP, select the firmware file and click on start I get the message "A manual reset is required. Please turn the power to the product off and on". No matter how many times I turn the power switch on the speaker off and on the message remains. Can anyone advise how I can solve this issue?

I used a Cisco baby blue cable (USB to RJ45) and had one error and then it worked just fine.

That sounds like a great solution, although I'm surprised given the Meridian video at the start of this thread references you still need to use multiple cables including RS232. What was the error you first received and did you have to do anything to resolve it, or just try again?
However, given I have all the cables that I do already and if I understand the posts in this thread correctly, what I've done should work? If so, wondering if anyone has any tips re what I need to do to resolve.

I connected the first speaker and ran identify and it identified the speakers: 3.16, BIOS 03, HWv9, Z8 2.053
But when I tried to update it started and then said "power off/on" and then started "loading" however it then failed with "timeout reading from COM3".
I started the update again and the second time it worked fine.
For the second speaker I had no issues.

I had some problems updating my speakers Windows laptop => USB keyspan serial adapter => Cisco Blue serial to RJ45 cable. After two stessy days I got both my speakers updated, I remember for both the speakers the process finally worked very late in the evening (probably just an idea to justify the success that I suspect it worked because almost all other electrical equipment was off a that hour Keep on trying it will finally work
Mac -> 818v3 -> 5200SE / Mac -> Director -> 551 -> Epos K2
