The Config program is Windows only but I can confirm it runs well in a Parallels virtual machine on Intel Macs. I have had it running well in Win 7, 10 & 11 on a MacBook Pro mid 2012 and now on a 2019 one. I don't know about a pre Intel Mac (G4 or G5). You need a USB 2 or 3 to serial (RS232) adapter. Mine is USB 3 ->USB 2 -> serial adaptor (StarTech Part ICUSB2321F or its successor, which may have direct USB 3 input).
