Yes, good luck with it. In your final photo, what are the 2 large boxes by the window? They're larger than your 5500s.

Exciting times for you.

Just to share what i'm building out in 3D.

This is not fully dialed yet. It's missing a heap of stuff like acoustic treatments / lighting etc.... Im just roughing it all in first to get a sense of seating position / Sight lines / Atmos positioning ext....

I have a bit of wiggle room with seating position and can also know off about a foot from the front baffle if I needed. I kinda want to leave room there to bring the screen closer and in case I need to put anything bigger back there later perhaps.

All the sides / front and rear wall will be wrapped with stretch fabric. No speaker or acoustic treatments will be visible at all.

I ordered the Valencia Barcelona chairs in a custom width as their regular ones were too wide. I went for a deep coffee bean color.

Open to thoughts / watch outs and ideas.

This is the seating i'm going for. I wanted low back seats so they don't obscure the audio. They recline and the head rest comes up for support also.

2 month delivery lead time though as they are coming from Italy 😫

Awesome renderings!

If it's possible still, I would highly recommend raising your side surround array and rear surrounds by about 1.5-2ft.

This way all 3 pairs sit roughly 1ft above ear level for the seats they are adjacent to and more or less the same elevation above the ears the main screen channels are except the back surrounds.

Afterall the mid/high drivers sit in the upper half of the loudspeaker, so that'll aid the midrange and higher frequencies (the most directional to our ears) not get blocked too much by the seats preventing an "acoustics bottleneck" of sorts.

I've found having the surround channels (the tweeter) a bit above ear level provides the most enjoyable results. 2D or 3D surround system. Especially for channel based surround content as it brings out a lot of the height ambience/reverb buried in plenty of conventional recordings allowing that interact with the front channels as well. It creates a bit of a pseudo phantom elevation channel effect. Almost Ambisonic like. I'm sure your Trinnov's signal processing will compensate beautifully though regardless of exact placement -- so take it for what it's worth.

The seats look absolutely incredible BTW!

The low frequency output in this system will be off the charts, lol.

Congrats, again smile

SixSpeed,

Great points!!! Thanks for your thoughts. I would really love to lift my speakers slightly however you can see from the pics that I have a challenge with the ceiling walls pitching in.

I need to bring in the rear side speakers to compensate for the height of the rear riser. I have this set at 14" at the moment... This may be too high. I'm having this all dialed in at the moment along with seating position front to back in the room so that I avoid sitting in a bass null.

Agreed; great renderings and a really exciting stage for you to be at. Loving the seating too; they look very classy.

When you say things will be fabric wrapped; what fabric are you going for? If at all possible I'd recommend black devore if you can. It's very soft (velvet-like) & tricky to work with (or so my wife tells me) but it gives you an inky black finish. Even black paint looks grey in the real world but there's nothing grey about devore. It will give your space a perfect black background to work from.

I have not yet locked in fabric. It needs to be of course acoustically transparent.
I would love an inky black around the screen at the front.

Could you share a link of where this material is from?

Thanks for the heads up!!

This is where I sourced mine from; it's in the UK obviously but "devore" & "MVEL 22" should enable you to source similar in the US. There will be a lot of chatter about it on the usual AV forums.
