What have you discovered in the music world that has pleased / inspired / pleasured you in a way that would warrant a mention here.

I am happy to begin with a couple of wonderfully versatile artists new to me that I now really appreciate.

Jeb Loy Nichols
Eilen Jewel

I hope for further advice from others who have travelled in a different direction of discovery with Tidal and Roon.

Please share

Hector

Easy: Anouar Brahem

There are lots of albums I add and play only once; "The Astounding Eyes of Rita" is not one of them.

That's presumably the result of having an almost infinite choice of music on tap. Back when we all bought physical media, more time would go into selecting the latest CD to buy so you were mentally & financially committed to that album & of course wanted it to be a success. Don't like it on first listen? Listen to it again. That isn't a factor with streaming.

I accept your historic review, however we have today an almost infinite resource for our ears and minds.
I love this wonderful prospect for now and the foreseeable future.
I will travel again tomorrow in search of many holy grails.

Agreed. And the concept of choice paralysis, when faced with the ability to stream most of the music in the world, is real.

At least with Roon I can concentrate on the crème de la crème in all genres (I call myself Mr. Mainstream). IMO, there is so much also-ran music heralded as "amazing".

You are not "Mr Main stream" by any stretch of my imagination.
As I have stated many times in the past, there are only two types of music in any genre, and I will be generous here due to your prompt "Good and Also Rans".
Tidal + Roon gives me the possibility of searching for the best.
As an after thought has anybody out there listened to Jeb Loy Nichols yet. IMHO great and budget intimate recordings.

Anywhere you want to go, the applied tag is irrelevant, just listen and you will hear!
