This is more out with the old and in with the older but I would be interested in your knowledgeable opinions.

I use a Velodyne SPL 1000 analogue sub for LFE on 5.1 movies. My 6k's are fully capable of dealing with the LFE but the sub was bought when I used to use a pair of Definitive Technology speakers in the last century, this along side Rotel amps, LaserDisc player and a Lexicon Processor. Oh how times have changed for the better.

However, I have been offered a DSW1500 Sub at a low cost which would make my system totally digital, but as the amp is 100W RMS, would it offer any benefit over the sound from the Velodyne?
