Hi,
What was the cost of the DSP6k recap upgrade? And was this a full recap ie power board, and tweeter as well?

Since you are in the UK, I would highly recommend sending a PM to Steve (SWPNT) here to see if he can work up a price for you. My only regret was not doing it sooner. I did it myself about two and half years ago, and did the amp boards and PSU board.

This is more out with the old and in with the older but I would be interested in your knowledgeable opinions.
I use a Velodyne SPL 1000 analogue sub for LFE on 5.1 movies. My 6k's are fully capable of dealing with the LFE but the sub was bought when I used to use a pair of Definitive Technology speakers in the last century, this along side Rotel amps, LaserDisc player and a Lexicon Processor. Oh how times have changed for the better.
However, I have been offered a DSW1500 Sub at a low cost which would make my system totally digital, but as the amp is 100W RMS, would it offer any benefit over the sound from the Velodyne?

LOL, I heard D6000s mat the Chicago CES in 1991 and met Bob Stuart. I never forgot that. Even though I have owned 801s and still own Quads, I had to full circle into DSP6000’s now that they are "affordable"!
