Finally received my latest Home Cinema Choice today with Chris's amazing system in it. Now that you've had a while road testing your cinema Chris, which films would make the podium, purely from an AV perspective?
In other news, Jeremy & 3dit0r praise the dCS headphone stack. That's c £27k I think in full-fat guise, plus the 'phones. Call it £30k. Probably 'reasonable' if 'phones are a major source of listening.
Cinema: Meridian 271, 3 x DSP640 (behind screen), 4 x DSP320 (in-ceiling), 4 x DSP3100 (surrounds), 2 x AC12 (interface). 2 x Perlisten D12s subs, Lyngdorf MP40 processor. DT 145" 2.35 AT screen. Sony VW870 projector & S-T lens, Lumagen Radiance Pro. Lounge: Roon, NUC, Kef LS50 Wireless + 2 x REL Gibraltar-2 subs

We found the speakers were so powerful they were able to shake the projector when played at the highest levels and so we have involved structural engineers to design something that can’t be moved This speaks volumes- WOW!!

To be clear, I haven't heard dCS's Lina setup, but having gone from a Bartok to a Rossini APEX, it should be very, very good. The Rossini is outstanding with decent headphones (which makes up most of my listening nowadays).

dCS headphone stack. That's c £27k I think in full-fat guise, plus the 'phones. Call it £30k. Probably 'reasonable' if 'phones are a major source of listening. That’s pretty spot-on price-wise according to what I was told when listening. Incredibly, perhaps, it includes DCS’s first amplifier, which speaks volumes (sorry) about how specialised they have always been as a company, focusing solely on digital conversion. Anyway, sorry I dragged this thread off topic, back to the insane, projector-shaking cinema system… 😎
