For folks still using the MD600, are solid state drives compatible?
Can you use a SSD in one bay and an older disc drive in the second?

I have tried four different brands (Pioneer, Samsung, Crucial, and Dogfish) without any success. I would love to update it with SSd's though.
Living Room: TV-->Sonos Arc with Symfonisk rears and twin Sonos subs. Also, a set of DSP8000SE with a MiniDSP SHD for stereo listening.
Listening Room 1: G65, DSP7000SE, DSP3300, DSP3200

Perhaps the MD600 is using SATA 1,5Gbs link speeds on the SATA controller.
Not all modern SSD’s are fully backwards compatible with this older standard, as far as I know.

I put a SATA SSD in my MC200 and it ran fine. I had to restore a full backup of the original disk to do so, though.
