Hi All,

We've just been informed of some price rises from Meridian.
Not suprising really in this current climate.

Some examples but not a complete list:
DSP3200 from £3,250 to £4,250 a pair
DSP3300 from £2,000 to £3,000 per speaker
DSP7200SE from £30,000 to £32,000 a pair
DSW.2 from £3,750 to £4,000

In wall speakers, priced singly, not including back boxes:
DSP 320.2 from £1,500 to £1,650
DSP 520.2 from £2,200 to £2,500
DSP 640.2 from £3,300 to £3,600
DSP 730 from £5,000 to £5,300
DSP 750 from £8,000 to £8,500
DSW600 from £3,750 to £4,000

G65 from £3,500 to £4,500

251 from £1,250 to £1,750
218 from £800 to £900
210 from £800 to £900
258 from £1,500 to £1,750
271 from £2,000 to £2,500

These prices will be introduced for all new orders from 1st July 2022.
Any orders placed with Meridian through your Meridian dealer will be supplied at the current price, even if the order can't be fulfilled until after 1st July.

So if you're considering any new Meridian equipment, I'd suggest you place the order in the next 10 days to beat the price rise.

Happy to discuss any orders by PM, phone or email (details below) and we offer installation throughout the UK.

Yes, agreed, £1K on a single DSP3300 seems a bit unbalanced.

Given the substantive price hike on DSP3200s, I can only imagine that M6s are now circa £5,000.

Update: I’m informed that they are to be discontinued. ☹️

It's fine a second one also has a £1K increase which is perfectly balanced!

With the exception of those DSP's, the price increases seem quite tame compared to the recent price increases other HiFi manufacturers felt they had to introduce. dCS and Antipodes are two that spring to mind.

Manufacturing and logistics/ transports costs are significantly up (as if anyone wouldn’t have noticed).
Commodity prices are up. Energy prices ….well do I even need to say.

Absolutely no surprise that RRP has to rise. With inflation hitting all major Hifi buying countries and a cost of living crisis in full swing I can only imagine that the next years will be very tough for the likes of Meridian.

The boom of pandemic and lock-downs where people invested in home stuff as they couldn’t go out is over (at least for now).

I agree. I'm not surprised they're rising, more that Meridian's price increases were relatively modest.

I've split out the UK economics discussion to this UK Inflation Rate / UK Economics - Buckle up! topic.
