Can anyone clarify if the F80 mini toslink accepts an input signal of 192kHz/24bit and downsample this internally to 96kHz/24 or is the limit 96kHz/24bit?
I like to know before adding a (toslink) streamer.

IIRC, the Toslink ‘standard’ is 24/96.

IIRC, the Toslink ‘standard’ is 24/96. IMHO not entirely true; back in the early days just 20/48. Thru the years it increased to 24/96 but not as a max. spec. There are devices doing 192kHz but this never went mainstream as it did with coax SPDIF. Either way I probably got the answer from the AC200 Production Highlights: "Digital inputs accept signals up to 96kHz..." Most streamer SPDIF output are coax so when I go the coax->toslink route I should take notice. Thanks! Greetz, peppermint

I hope one day Meridian will produce an updated F/M 80 with a Bluray player and streamer . Maybe LG will have an interest to produce an all in one player .

I fear all forms of physical disc player are dead or dying - so I suspect it’s unlikely.

Bluesound do what the F80 should have done except for the CD player… Not as stylish I accept but it much rather have a Bluesound pulse 2 that works than an F80 that doesn’t (which is the case for me now)

Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Meridian never made a Bluray player even in the 5mins when it might have been a thing.
