How ironic, that Meridian is the UK distributor for Trinnov. crazy

People are already doing the recapping as it is a matter of replacing with a similar part. Upgrading a 18 bit speaker to 24/96 is an entirely different process. To do such, you need a donor speaker and the DSP boards need to be swapped out which requires a good bit of soldering and fitting of mounting points for the cover. While the DSP6000, 7000, and 5500 electronics are very similar, there are some distinct differences and you cannot simply take a back panel off a 5500 and put it on a 6000.

Meridian make high-end quality products that Alan wanted to last. It's not like a "sell new chips in a new box every year" Apple con, with it's obsolescence by design. I don't even think its a fair comparison.

Meridian should either support their product base (unlikely since the founders have departed to audioheaven) or make public domain. Companies that don't support their client base, don't survive for long. And given the price-point of their products, will once its lost customer loyalty, cease to stay viable because of it.

I think most of us on this forum would be lost without the like of Duncan and MrTecGuy's support info.

Add to that Bruce (CMB) and Marc Koval in the US. And Rick.

Hi

Can I confirm there is no way of making Prime Headphone Amplifier work with Windows 11?

Regards
Gary
