Well that’s intriguing 🤓

If not a 271 then we could be in for a surprise 🙌🏻

Kind regards
David

Quite right - I think maybe a couple of them given the number of speakers.

Best

And the projector - as far as I am aware the first Barco Freya+ in the world! Hopefully getting calibrated next week.
And yes thats a normal size door and ladder to give you some idea of how big this is - I think the guys said 140kg!

I presume the screen will be perforated, but you have an awful lot of transducer diaphragm area compared with the area of the screen, so it will be interesting to hear how it all sounds. Will the screen be tightly stretched across the frame (risking a timpani-like interaction between the air pushed by the speaker diaphragms and the resistance of the screen ) or will it be relatively loose (so it can move a bit without generating audible resonances but affecting the picture)?

By the way, and your installation is so professional I am sure this won't apply to you - you will have mechanised lifts etc) but in my first cinema, over 20 years ago, I had a Barco triple CRT projector. It was wonderful but enormously heavy (a lot of thick glass in the projection tubes, never mind all the transformers and electronics). I had to rely on two extremely muscular nephews to get it into place. We really should have filmed it because we (they) got there but it did not go smoothly!

On the first bit - not a clue but I will ask smile Rest assured the guys doing all the work are experts in the space and the whole design has been signed off by Meridian, Barco and DCI before a penny was spent. I know the screen materials have been specified for this particular projector also. I guess one of the benefits of a DCI cinema is every element is carefully checked - I am also hoping to add day and date in the new year.

And yes it took 4 guys to carry the projector down to the cinema - crazy.

I think the most important question is: when can I come and listen? 😁

Don't put a screen in front of that front wall - it's a work of art in itself!
