Masters = MQA = HiFi and everything else is CD quality?
If so is HIFI expected to be better SQ than CD when non getting the MQA treatment? Good question! I think at this point we only know as much as what is shown on the screen. In any case, the Tesla team did a pretty good job on the car audio system.

Except for example no gapless playback, and the interface from hell.
The rest of the interface is fantastic, it's just the music bit is rubbish when your used to Roon...

My mate in LA has a good relationship with a Meridian Rep.
He told my friend that Elon Musk is a HUGE Meridian fan and spent a Mozza of having Meridian in all of his houses !

Tidal is in my Rivian R1T, which also has a pretty sweet Meridian sound system. That's the only electric vehicle that tempts me so far (other than the cheap as chips Dacia); but alas it's not to be, as there are no plans to sell it on this side of the pond. One was spotted at Mercedes HQ in Germany, so who knows what that's about. Anyway, I'm glad you're enjoying the best of both worlds.

It really is a remarkable vehicle. My wife said that she thought I was stupid and wanted to hate it. She now says she loves it. 3.0 sec to 60 feels just insane - no build up, it just rockets out of the hole. The McLaren sourced cross linked hydraulic system is also very impressive - it stays completely flat through corners with suspension that’s still compliant. It just seems to defy physics. So many lovely design details that really make you feel they cared deeply about the design. It does have quite a large footprint which I think would be challenging on UK roads. Parking spaces would definitely be tight! There is a guy on Rivian Forums who has imported an R1T to Germany for private use. There is no official support structure, so it’s definitely an adventurous move. R1TTidal on R1T

That sounds like quite a thing & I see what you mean about a large footprint but it's quite handsome in a brutish sort of a way.
