I recently purchased an 861v4 that sounds wonderful but is a bit beat up on the front faceplate. The faceplate is a bit loose and the display intermittently goes black and needs to be lifted to come back to life. It is a shame to have such a beautiful piece not look it's best so I figured I would reach out to see if anyone has a spare or old stock they would be willing to sell.

I have a faceplate for a 861. Not sure if it is rackmount or not. Let me check.

I have a rackmount 861 which I'd like to convert to non-rack.
Already have the rear cover so looking for faceplate.
If Bruce had a regular face plate, we might be able to do a switch round, good for everyone!

The one I was thinking of was a 808.3 normal faceplate. Let me look in one other place.

I have a rack mount 861v2. Same face plate as a v4. How much were you thinking a faceplate would cost? Once upon a time (a long time ago)… I spent $750 for a replacement rear chassis cover. That’s a stupid price these days, but just saying as a point of reference.

Cheers,
- Ken

Nick/Ken, please see your PM’s, I’m also looking for a replacement faceplate, prefer non-rack mount, but any style is fine.

Also heads up when your swap the faceplates, apparently you can fry it if you put the connector on backwards, I learned that the hard way…. smile

Thanks,
Chris
