Some would say the 500 Series was the finest analogue system Meridian every built. I've certainly enjoyed its musicality and power. But ... We are planning for some downsizing. Sadly, this also includes my Meridian 500 stack. This has given me immense listening pleasure over the decades. No more so than in the past couple of years with the addition of the 555 power amp and the 596 DVD/CD supported by re-capping and service of the 551, 555 and 504 by Mr Tech Guy. I thought I would give fellow forum members first dibs before eBaying. I’m open to offers. Here are the units, where and when bought, price and service date, cost. Unit, When, Where, Price, Comments
596 DVD/CD, Jun ’19, eBay, £407
MSR 4, Jul ‘19, here (Hi Neil), £50
504 FM Tuner, Dec ’96, Sevenoaks Hi-Fi, £625 (94), serviced £175 Feb ‘20
551 Integrated Amp, Dec ’95, Radford Hi-Fi, £695 (94), serviced £315 Mar ‘20
555 Power Amp, Jan ’20, eBay, £325, serviced £375 Feb ‘20
A500 Speakers, Aug '99, Sevenoaks Hi-Fi, £499 (99)

Lots of pics available on request. I have manuals and Meridian packaging for all of it. It would be good to know it’s going to someone who’d appreciate it. I’ll leave it here a week and then eBay. Happy listening

All now sold. At least one to a forum member, which is nice.
I now have a 500 Series comms lead (those 5-pin DIN ones) going spare. I'll pop it in a jiffy bag for any forum member who wants it. The other one already went to a forum member.
Cheers

It’s sad to see you leave the Meridian fold, given your evident enthusiasm for building-up your system not that long ago.
All the best for your future endeavours.
