If you mean have I popped the card out or opened up the Ultra then no, I wouldn’t be that brave. I am surprised Meridian did not configure the two BNC’s as a dual connection as they do talk up the dual mono construction.

I’ve now had this wired up for about two weeks and listen for around three hours a day, live switching between the SmartLink and direct coax input convinces me that the direct coax reveals slightly more (10% ?) detail and seems brighter and more airy although SACD through the UHD722 is excellent.

Everything is currently cabled with Nordost Heimdall 2, I’m contemplating going the Valhalla 2 route for the two SpeakerLink (ethernet), one HDMI and two coax cables that connect the Oppo, 861, UHD722 and Ultra, to drag more detail out or get an Aurender N20 and one Valhalla BNC. What do you think?
