Yeah, I guess. But the unit is marketed as an HDMI Audio Processor. I know Meridian are lousy at marketing, but I would have thought if there was an improvement to video, it would have been mentioned at some point.
I personally can't say I've noticed an improvement in video performance, but to be fair I haven't really looked for it either. I bought it for the specific functionality of extracting multichannel PCM from an HDMI stream for processing by a Meridian Processor. Which it does well albeit at a cost that I have always begrudged paying. But then, imagine what Linn would try and charge.
