Welcome to the forum.

Perhaps you could give us a little more to go on; are either the sub or the 561 new to you or has the problem developed recently? Do you know that the sub is working fine & it only has a problem in conjunction with the 561? What else is in your system? Is the cable in question a known quantity?

As well as the points raised by Not'arf, have you checked your bass routing in Mconfig for different DSP settings? To get your sub used all the time you need to set the speakers to small even if you don't think they are!

I have DSP 5000 and the 561 processor and I have just bought a Anthony gallos sub woofer off eBay.I have plugged it into the analogue sub outlet and adjusted the type type to 2.1.d but no sound...I have checked the sub and it is working ok ...I’m confused and the manual is a bit over my head I’m afraid 😱

Try the stereo DSP rather than Direct DSP (if that’s what you’re using), Direct bypasses subwoofers.

Not sure if it'll help but have you tried the 'Stereo' DSP parameter (p11 in the manual) which uses the sub. Since you're only set up as 2.1, it may be that you're on a DSP parameter that doesn't use the sub. In the system DSP5000 speakers would be set as large and wouldn't 'require' the sub in many situations. As the others have said, you might need a computer to adjust these settings.

Glad to hear you appear to have sorted it.

Here’s another curly one, can I use my Epoz Aktimate as another set of rear speakers?
They are active speakers and I’d run them from the 561 🤔
