I have a 5.1 Meridian DSP system connected via a G65.
To get MQA working with a 218 I had to make the front left speaker the master with and add a trigger cable to G65. I then put the 218 between the G65 and the front two speakers.
I have just switched the 218 for a 210 and plugged all the cats cables in 210 same as 218 was and used the Meridian control app via Bluetooth to do some basic setup of the sources being selected.
Problem is I am now only getting sound through front left speaker and the others don't even turn on.
The 218 had a web browser interface with lots of options this 210 has very little options and only connects via Bluetooth (and not all the time).
Can anybody help?

I managed to disconnect Bluetooth and get Mconnect to UPnP an MQA track from Tidal to the 210 but even that only outputs to the single left speaker...
Is the 210 faulty?

I just did the only thing left i could do.
I removed the trigger cable from g65 to front left master dsp5200se that was required to make this setup work when using the 218 and now all the speakers work.
Why does the 218 have options like Eba, treble bass position room height etc and the 210 does not?
Is it because 210 is a streamer and 218 is designed to be used instead of g65 with lots of inputs?
Does the 210 simply pass the SL data to the DSP speakers raw without interfering?

The 218 is a Pre amp and the 210 is a streamer. Used together they make a great team. The 218 does the upsample EBA etc.
No 18 in the Hall of fame I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best: GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

Am I missing out on something then? I thought 210 was better for mqa tidal streaming with RAAT
I dont think I can keep 218 and 210 in my system as input to my 210 is used for g65

Connect the 210 to the 218 via SpeakerLink (it doesn’t rely on Bluetooth alone).

I can't do that as I need my G65 in the SL input. What do you gain in sound quality? If you are using a 210 for Tidal masters is their something a 218 would give you extra?

As previously stated; you don’t necessarily need a 210 and a 218 together - but they do work together seamlessly.
The former is Roon Ready, the latter is Roon Tested.
There is very little difference, if any, between the 210 and 218 in perceived audio quality.

I switched for upnp. So I could stream mconnect tidal.
If you connect 210 to WiFi and also Ethernet how does the music get from router to 210.
Does it default to Ethernet?
Is there a way to control the 210 settings via IP? Or do you have to connect via Bluetooth?

SpeakerLink: 210 > 218 > G65 > DSP’s.
You pair the 210 (Bluetooth) with your Tablet by pressing the rear panel button on the 210.
By reading the User Manual, configure your 210 with the Router’s allocated IP address (Ethernet).
When I used mcontrol (or mconnect), connection between my iPad and 210 was seamless (and simple).

Hi,
I'd posted this as a comment on another thread, so not sure how relevant the comments are now, so content has been deleted.
Perhaps comments about the 218 and the need to feed comms back to the processor don't apply to the 210.

If you put it through the G65 you won't get MQA.
I have not found a way to use the Meridian control app via IP. You have to use Bluetooth to make that app work for some reason.
