Very interesting, thanks! Rick sent me a PM with the same tip, which is why I tested complete removal of SpeakerLink, as well as a different circuit. No change, although based on the description in the other thread, it's still possible this noise is riding the power lines somehow, in which case I have not yet ruled out the issue being similar.

I'll have to find access to a completely different circuit... maybe I'll run a long extension cord from my pool gear, which is a separate panel from the main house!

Ok, I figured this one out, I think.

As I've said, my home is a super noisy place, electrically. LED bulbs everywhere, home automation everywhere, and 1950s wiring.

When I disconnect the dishwasher, as-in turn off the mains circuit to it, no flicker. When the mains to dishwasher is on, flicker (even if dishwasher is in standby). Damn. Indeed, I got a new dishwasher right around when I noticed this flicker, so all this makes sense.

That said, easy enough to fix, I'll just cut power to the dishwasher when it's not running. Clearly too much going on inside a modern unit these days!

Oh, it's a Bosch 800 in case anybody else is having this issue.

What is the distance between dishwasher and DSP ?

I remember we had a modification for this, which stemmed from a customer in Italy being close to a tv and radio transmitter,

I will go through our technical files when at the workshop tomorrow to see what I can dig out.

As a supplement in case it helps anyone else. I have a DSP5200C that had been working fine for years and then developed a badly flickering display. Thought it might be power and did the usual experiments to isolate. Removed all cables other than power. Tried other sockets. Moved the speaker, etc. Ended up taping a layer of aluminum kitchen foil on the shelf above and below the speaker which has fixed it. I live in an apartment in NYC and speculation is that it was picking up RF interference from a neighbors wifi hotspot. An experienced and wise friend suggested getting an inductor choke for the internal cable which I will be exploring next, but in the meantime, no display flicker. Hope that helps anyone with a similar ghost in the machine.

I have a Bosch Dishwasher too. Volume is normally 65

However if I turn all house Audio elements off the effect is not noticeable. Apart from display on my Smart Meter
Even at low temperature wash the dishes come out clean, MQA does not improve clean up of the inserted crockery.

Try putting a Ferrite core on the SL cable right near the speaker, if that does not fully stop it put on on the power cord, again as near to the speaker as possible. This fault is usually excessive RF noise interference.

With display it actually could be interference. In my past life worked with displays and box how quick the flicker.
