I have the same problem with my ID40. I have connected two 218's, but I can't connect to my ID40 with a fixed IP number and choosing for 861.

I would have expected the ID41 to be running software version 1.2, build 218.

Sounds as though you can see it and connect from a browser - so that is good.

Suggest using Meridian Device Manager on a PC to bring your ID41 up to the latest software version, 1.2, build 218, which I believe will be required for the ID41 to interwork with the Meridian Control App. As per earlier threads, this software upgrade can take some time and possibly take a couple of attempts to get it to take. The general advice was to use a PC hard wired to Ethernet rather than WiFi, I used WiFi for the PC with ID41 hard wired but it did take some time.

Ok thanks, I'll try that and let you know if it works out!

My ID40 is showing Version 1.3 and build 169 (actually, it shows build 1003169 which becomes displayed as 169 after a while). Does anyone know if this is the latest version? It seems to work perfectly well with both Sooloos and Roon.

It's half working for me.
I can see the MC200 and the "Control:PC" program on my PC but not the 210.
I can only connect to the 210 via bluetooth.
The 210 has an IP address and I can see and play to it in Tidal and Roon on the PC or any app.
But the new app just won't find it.

Following on from an earlier conversation, when suggestions were made how I might “see” my 218, I wish to share my experience.

I checked all Cat 5 cables, testing them functionally. Checked they were properly located in their respective sockets. Powered the LAN devices on and off. Deleted and reloaded Meridian’s app. All to no avail.

Finally obtained long Cat 5 lead and connected it direct into BT’s router. Bingo. It worked.

Now leave the 218 disconnected from the LAN and will only connect it when I want to make an adjustment. Don’t use it for streaming. Control it via Meridian’s IR device. A little pricey, but it works.

Hope that helps - a bit.

Have you a switch in your network. My 218 is connected to a switch and then the BT router. I leave it connected but do not enable it in Roon.

For information, I note that the menu page doesn't seem to work for 218 running v1 software. I finally got around to updating the 218 to v1.1 firmware and the menu page then springs into life.

I agree with others that it's a definite improvement over the previous "IP Control" app (which worked fine, this just looks / works better).

I can't get it to work with the 210 no matter what I try.
Anyone else have it work with the 210 over ethernet?

I’m not experiencing any such issues with my 218 or 210.

Are you sure that it’s switched on via the rear toggle switch?

The app works via Bluetooth with the 210 and network with the 218.

That does seem a bit haphazard (and inconvenient) but I'm not surprised.
