By MSR do you mean the ability to select a source? The screen I get is the same as on the previous version of the app. Is that how it should be, or am I missing the new stuff?

I believe it is the same as previously, however, you only get the MSR icon in landscape mode, not portrait (as before).

Thank you very much for explaining this. I mainly use my iPhone, which is always portrait, and I had never run even the old app in landscape mode on my iPad so didn't realise an MSR could be accessed!

What made you aware of this? The Apple store or the build number etc. I have not noticed anything.

I also got the update via the App Store, but still no connection to the ID41 in my 818.
I tried all the suggestion rebooted etc. I use the vMSR application maybe this is preventing the connection (I did disconnect the itach but still no connection).

Try hard coding the ID41 IP address into the Meridian Control App - saves the need for the app to search for the address.

One way to double check is to point a browser to the ID41 IP address - you should see the config page, if not, you either have a network issue or the ID41 is not on the latest firmware release.

The browser to the ID41 IP address works, not at home now I'll check the fw tonight - the ID41 is not connected directly to the router ( router > time machine > ID41) maybe it's the ISP problem.

It will be a local network issue rather than an ISP issue - also check that you have not created a double NAT configuration with the Time machine box. I am not directly familiar with the device, however, if it is basically and Airport Extreme/Express with a hard disk attached, then definitely make sure that its router functionality is switched off and you are using it in bridge mode.
