Hi,

IP Control is now integrated into the Meridian 'Control' App, which previously was just for Bluetooth Connections.
So now 'Control' App provides control for 218, 251, 271, ID40/41 and 210 in a single App.

Check the iPad is set so it can see Local Network Connections for the Meridian Control APP.
This was introduced in IOS 14.1 I think.
In iPad:
Settings (Cog)
Privacy (White hand on blue background)
Local Network (White globe on Blue Background)
Check that Control is On, (Green Switch)

Hi Brian.

Thanks Rick. Followed your suggestions. The Meridian Control app is there and switched on. No luck.

I recall reading on an earlier post that sometimes the Internet Service Provider’s hub could be an issue. I use BT’s Halo 1, which I would have thought was pretty commonly used here in the UK.

Has anyone established whether this hub is an issue with regards to Meridian’s app?

Have you got Bluetooth on?

I find it picks up the 218 quickly but takes longer for the 210 and is a little flakey in operation, especially if I want to locate the virtual MSR...

I trust you have checked all physical connections carefully. I have before found the ethernet plug slightly out of my 218 and, of course, no connection as a result. Can you plug the 218 directly into the router? Has a gremlin plugged the ethernet plug into the wrong socket on the 218? Not you, obviously, but a cleaner or an enemy?

Bluetooth is on.

No enemies or cleaners or strangers available to blame.

Connections check scheduled for the morning. I’m capable of anything (daft).

Most probably the usual issue with ISP provided routers blocking multicast after a short period.

If you have not already tried it, I suggest power cycling your router and see if your can get connection immediately after.

If you can get a working connection after power cycling but then the connection fails after a period, add in a hub or switch ahead of the router with just a single connection to the router and WAN.

I am still having no joy... the app (on iPhone 11) finds my 210 just as it did before, turns the system on as before, I can then access Spotify direct from the app as before but upon clicking Tidal I get no option to play over the 210...

I’ve deleted and downloaded all apps, signed out of Tidal and back in, turned the iPhone off an on but still nothing. Mconnect still works as before but I can’t use tidal directly... if anyone can suggest anything I would be grateful!

Same issue, here. Tidal Connect has not been implemented for the 210.

Once in Tidal on my iPad, I’m presented with a combined AirPort/Bluetooth option - but only AirPort (AppleTV) connects. Odd.

Methinks Meridian hasn’t yet got it right.

Tidal plays over Bluetooth for me with the 210. I had to accept permission to open the app etc. This is not something I will use as I have Roon. The BBC sounds app works great over Bluetooth though.
Off Topic...
Linking zones in Roon works well as long as you turn EBA off, which is fine for Radio 4

The fact remains that 'Tidal Connect' doesn't work like 'Spotify Connect' on the Meridian 210.

Hi ChrisLayerUk,

How do you access the virtual MSR?

Do not seem to find that?

Select the right arrow on the 218 display and the circular volume pops up. MSR and settings appears at the bottom of the screen.
