There has been an update in the iOS App Store, just having a play now, I think I’ve worked it out...
No 18 in the Hall of fame  I have simple tastes; I am content to settle for the best: GIK monster bass panels, rear wall. QNAP TVS 471i3. Roon into DSP5200SE via 210/ 218 zone... Explorer 2. Bluesound Pulse 2, Mini & Flex. 596v1, 518, Foxsat HD, Sony BDP, Pioneer 5090, 2 Chromecast's for LRB videos. MS200 to F80 for a Roon zone

This is an interesting development as it seems to be a new app rather than an update, very similar in style and purpose though it may be. Does anyone know whether there are technical reasons for doing it this way? It otherwise seems a strange use of resources and I wonder whether it portends some other things. The previous app is very similar and easy enough to use so why bother? I did notice it would like to use my bluetooth so perhaps it is just adding that capability (for the 210 presumably) as opposed to wi-fi or wired networks only.

One unsurprising thing I have noticed is that if IP control v2 has grabbed your devices then IP control v1 will not find them until you close v2. I assume the reverse will be true.

The new app covers both 218 and ID41 and 210 in one app, ie both the Ethernet and Bluetooth protocols in a single app. Also the volume control design language is enhanced in that one can touch and rotate the on-screen volume control in a much more intuitive manner.
I would suspect that the older app may be depreciated as this new one takes over, just a guess.

Tidal has now appeared in the streaming shortcuts along with Spotify and Roon-does this mean it’s Tidal Connect? It seems like it is to me...

Except I can’t get Tidal to play in this way, only through Mconnect app which I’ve been using for a while. Mmmm.

The Tidal access works for me. I just allowed iPad to open Tidal app as asked and hit play in Tidal.
This then took control away from Roon immediately over Bluetooth. Also back to Roon over RAAT.

I like this new/upgraded apt very much.
I find it very useful. Having the MSR on my iPad and being able to switch between Roon and Tidal in one apt is a real plus.

My IP Control has not been able to see my 218 for quite some time. On the list of things to be done, so this thread is timely.
So today ditched my existing IP Control app so as to clean install the new app. But cannot find an “IP Control” app on the App Store, but do find an app called “Meridian Control”. Downloaded it.
It too cannot find my 218.
Any suggestions??

It's all worked fine for me, picked up my MD600, MS600, a MS200, my QNAP NAS and my 218.
