Hi,
Sorry if this has been covered - could not find anything on the forum.
I was running backups/exports from Control Mac until that was discontinued - had a bit of a break from exporting as there was no Windows PC in the house. Now that I do have a PC to I ran a backup to my NAS yesterday which was successful, but now want to export the contents of the MC200 so I can copy to USB etc for use in the car.
When I connect to the NAS and select to export (export format) the MC does not seem to do anything. There was a previous export which I deleted to see if it would help - but still when I select to export from Control:PC, I get a message saying there is an still an existing export and do I want to save or delete, but regardless of what I do the MC200 does not show any progress on the export window when I select an option.
I recall before that the unit is not exactly very user-friendly when it comes to communicating what it is doing. Do I have to simply start the export and leave it alone? Will it eventually start exporting, or am I missing something?
Storage is 983gb with 411gb free so space should not be an issue?
Appreciate any pointers!!

Hi Scott,
Not sure if you found a fix for your export issue?
I had a slightly different issue last time I was running export but perhaps it will work for you? I found that I would go in and select an album for export and it would do nothing, not even show up in the export que? Then, after having SL elected several albums with the same result, I tried a reboot on the MC200. When it came back online in PC Control, the albums that I had clicked for export before the reboot all appeared in the export que and began exporting! My work around was just to click several more, do a reboot and then repeat.
No idea why this is necessary now but thank God I have already exported the bulk of my collection!
Btw, my backup function seems to still work fine.
Good luck,

Thanks for the reset suggestion - always surprising how electronics seem happier when rebooted!

Thanks for the suggestion - seems my MC200 is trying to test me in other ways in the meantime! Now it has suddenly gone offline and the white LED is blinking slowly. There is little/no help on the Meridian site - any idea what the issue could be? I'm sure it did this before but cant recall how I remedied. Once I have this problem fixed I will try the reset to get the export working......

If you have not already done so, I would suggest changing the CMOS backup battery - note that I needed to reboot the MC200 without any battery in place and then - very carefully - replace the battery with the power still connected. Prior to starting in this manner, my MC200 hung with a flashing light as per your description even with a new battery in place.
The issue may not be the back-up battery, however, disconnecting as above would at least eliminate one variable.

Thanks John,
Assume the CMOS battery is the button CR2032 on the board? So I removed that with the unit powered down, then powered up (still only blinking LED) then slotted a new battery into place. Seems to be the same pulsing LED unfortunately. Given the reboot with no battery made no difference can I assume this means something else is up? HDD seems to be spinning fine - not sure if that should be the next port of call (although it was replaced in 2016 if I recall)?

As it did not boot up fully with no battery in place, it would appear to be something else. Just to be sure, I would go through a full cycle without the battery in place, ie on-off-on waiting 30 seconds between each stage to ensure a full reset. I suspect that you are right though, likely to be something else.

Thanks John,
Tried again as suggested with the boot cycles - no joy. Even pulled out a clone disk I'd made as backup a while back - still nothing. That was Monday.
Powered off the unit and was speaking to my dealer and also to Mr Tech Guy about other options to try before arranging a repair. Was about to pack it up and send in and decided to power up again on Thursday - unit came online straight away! I could not believe it - such a temperamental piece of hardware!! Export options were not available until today - guessing it was doing some background processing - but looks like we're back in business again. I have no idea what it was doing or why - but seems to have come out of it's hibernation and is now running as though nothing ever happened!
At least I have my music collection back for the weekend!
Appreciate the suggested helps in any case - was worth replacing the battery as it was around 8 years old I guess.

Well, been back up and running for a month now, which is great (mostly):
Playback -fine Ripping - fine Streaming - fine Backup - fine Export - not available - screen message: "Export features are not available because Sooloos helper processes are not running or are unable to connect to the system core"
Any ideas what's happening here and how to resolve?

Check whether SooloosHelper.exe is running and/or can get through your firewall and anti-virus. Whenever I do a virus scan the programme wants me to remove Soolooshelper.exe as it thinks it is a dastardly entity that wants to ruin my computer. I tell it that it isn't and check it is an allowed exception in my firewall.

Thanks - got some great help yesterday and have resolved the issue!
You are also correct - it was connected to the firewall on Win10. I have temporarily disabled the windows defender and the export started immediately. 18 hours on and only a few thousand tracks remain. Once completed I will reset the firewall, content in the knowledge the content of the MC200 is safely backup up just in case.
