Is there a way to order or change the front black glass of a DSP8000 to white glass?
Looking at a white DSP8000, the extent of the black glass almost defeat the purpose of painting it all white.
Just a thought

I half-explored this a few years ago when I considered getting 6Ks refurbished in white. I never came to a conclusion as to how hard it would be, though, as I decided to go with 7200s instead.
You're completely right, though - the front is often the most visible bit, getting that in the colour of choice should at least be an option.
Is the glass itself coloured, or is it just a form of coating which a glazing specialist could remove/apply in different colours?

6000s in white would be stunning! I am not sure about the 8000s glass, but the 6000s and glass for the displays on other DSPs is clear with a slight tint with black paint on the underside.

Yeah, it would be "cool" to be able to specify the accent color. Now, how many would dare to do it?
