Morning all,

Long time since I was here, and I hope I'm posting in the best section.

I've lost both the space and volition for a large 5.1 setup and need to store my gear while I sell it.

I have a weatherproof garage in which I hope to store speakers and the rest.

Is this a sensible idea, or will the relative damp and temp fluctuations be harmful come winter?

Are there any precautions I could take to reduce any adverese effects?

Other than selling, ofc.

I stored my 500 series kit in my Garage roof space for 10 years with no issues, prior to putting my 506.2 and 504 back into use.

I sealed my original boxes and placed them in dustbin liners.

I suspected it wouldn't be too much of a problem, but didn't want to miss anything obvious.

Just need to find some space, now. Garages still full of moving boxes...

Never thought I'd see the day I'd be streaming through a NAS into B+O lifestyle speakers (surprisingly good)

Avoid wet and moisture, hot temperatures and fast temperature changes.
Active devices you should power on I guess after two years, to avoid changes in power capacitors.
But that is not a hard fact.

Or give it somebody who likes that kind of equipment and have less money, so it's an social act and both of you will enjoy it

I've given a lot away in the past and I know of someone who'd love the 507 and perhaps the 565 if he could manage the setup.
