Roon on a QNAP (with an i3 or better processor) is fine ... check out the Roon Knowledge Base - QNAP page.

IMPORTANT: as per RKB note it should have at least one SSD connected to store the Roon Database.

Though unlike the RKB, imho 4GB RAM is the minimum and if purchasing a new device I would recommend specifying 8 GB ...
